In an ever growing endeavor of providing a world class infrastructure at CGI for the national as well international programs, Col. B. S. Sandhu, Chairman and Managing Director of CGI, took a step further by planning a new engineering block at the CGI Campus. This new block will be equipped with all latest facilities. The foundation stone for this upcoming Block was laid by Col. B. S. Sandhu and Lt. Gen. H. R. S. Mann on 6th February, 2011. Lt Gen H R S Mann in his address to the audience emphasized the need for global education which is provided amply by the Continental Group of Institutes. The other esteemed guests who graced the occasion were the Counsellors, ex servicemen and Sarpanches of the district.
Col B S Sandhu also mentioned that Institute's infrastructure could be made available on weekends to the ex servicemen and other old people of the vicinity for imparting computer education, internet etc. He invited the audience to come forward with suggestions to bring up the neighbouring areas of Fatehgarh Sahib District. The Executive Director of the institute Maj Gen BPS Grewal also reiterated the importance of skill based education, which would help India to become the next knowledge-based super power. He also explained the need for parents to be more involved in the education of their children.
