CIIS Students Prepare Three Robotic Arms

The CIIS students of Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering {under University of Brighton (UOB), UK}, recently completed a project of pneumatic robotic arms. This project has been assessed under the guidance of Prabhjot Singh Nanrey, coordinator UOB. The students of three different groups prepared three robotic arms. The project is based on fully pneumatic supply, which made to work on the pneumatic cylinders fixed at the arm. It is a “pick and place” robotic arm, where a ball is to be picked and thrown at a certain distance. There are three different basic movements in the arm which are rotator base, free horizontal moving two pieces or three piece arms and the jaw. Jaw is the main part of the arm which is flexible in movement and performs the job. All the practice and assembling of the project is performed in the mechanical lab as well as the workshop of CGI campus under the guidance and supervision of trained and skilful teachers.
